The ICX448AK is an interline CCD solid-state image sensor suitable for NTSC color video cameras.  The sensitivity and smear are improved drastically through the adoption of EXview HAD CCDTM technology.  This chip has a structure which supports progressive scan and provides the output block which operates in 28MHz rate, enabling output of the signal equivalent to the entire pixel counts independently in 1/60 seconds.  This chip features an electronic shutter with variable charge-storage time. By using those, non-interlaced progressive scan which supports moving picture and two types of signals which have different charge-storage time in the same field of interlace field can be output. Ye, Cy, Mg and G complementary color mosaic filter, superior to light resistance, is adopted for color filter. EXview HAD CCDTM has different spectral characteristics from the current CCD.
