2020年7月6日消息，据台湾媒体报道，台积电扩大了与索尼 CIS(CMOS 图像传感器，CMOS Image Sensor，简称 CIS)代工合作。

台积电旗下关联企业采钰，以及供应链成员将一起吃下索尼 “超级大单”。应索尼后续需求，采钰、同欣电进入战斗状态，正扩建 CIS 后段封测、材料及模组组装产能。

台积电积极规划在竹南打造全新的高阶 CIS 封装产能，相关开发计划本月初正式动工兴建，预计明年中完工，预计将斥资新台币 3000 亿元，成为台积电先进封装的最大生产据点，首批进驻即是帮索尼代工的 CIS 封装产线。

去年 12 月，台湾媒体曾报道，由于需求爆发，索尼产能不足，旗下 CIS 订单首度交给台积电。

知情人士透露，索尼看好 5G 时代带动图像传感器需求强劲，但自有产能供不应求，加上三星、豪威等竞争对手正加速扩产脚步，尤其豪威这几年在台积电产能支持下，市场占有率快速提升，让索尼决定改变过往自制的策略，首度将图像传感器交由台积电代工。

台积电成立于 1987 年，是全球最大的晶圆代工半导体制造厂，客户包括苹果、高通等。其总部位于台湾新竹的新竹科学工业园区。台积电公司股票在台湾证券交易所上市，股票代码为 2330，另有美国存托凭证在美国纽约证券交易所挂牌交易，股票代号为 TSM。
